As you know Empowerment and leadership are very important aspects to us here at the ABC, as well as our Life Skills program. I am pleased to announce that on Thursday 27th January, a guest speaker Vicky Lein will be with us to offer a workshop to our male students from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. You may be aware that we are running a programme with FUNPRES for girls.
The aim of these workshops is to empower students to behave in an integral way in their different environments such as family, social and school. At the same time we aim for our students to become role models in positive living, especially by reflecting on their attitudes towards their relationships with female friends and peers.
Vicky Lein will also work with all of our grade 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 in Empowerment and Leadership.
This program is compulsory and free of charge. However, if your son cannot attend on Thursday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, we ask you to excuse him by contacting Marielos Soto at marielossoto@abc-net.edu.sv / 2241 -4473. We trust we have your cooperation in encouraging your son to participate actively at this workshop which we know will bring them and the ABC community a lot of benefit.

Como ustedes sabrán, el tema de empoderamiento y liderazgo es muy importante para nosotros en la ABC, al igual que nuestro programa de Habilidades para la Vida. Me alegra comunicarles que el próximo jueves 27 de enero, la educadora Vicky Lein estará con nosotros para ofrecer a nuestros alumnos varones un taller de 2:00- 3:00pm. Cabe mencionar que nuestras alumnas están recibiendo talleres con la colaboración de FUNPRES.
El objetivo de estos talleres es el empoderamiento de los alumnos para desarrollarse de forma integral en los diferentes ambientes en los que se desenvuelven- el ambiente familiar, social y escolar. Al mismo tiempo buscamos que los alumnos se conviertan en modelos de convivencia positiva; especialmente haciendo reflexión sobre sus actitudes hacia las relaciones interpersonales con sus amigas y compañeras.
Vicky Lein también estará trabajando con los alumnos y alumnas de 6º, 7º, 8º, 9º y 11º grado en empoderamiento y liderazgo.
Este programa es de carácter obligatorio y es totalmente gratuito. Sin embargo, si su hijo no puede asistir a la sesión del jueves de 2:00- 3:00pm, esperamos que se comuniquen con Marielos Soto al 2241-4473 o marielossoto@abc-net.edu.sv Esperamos su apoyo a motivar a sus hijos a que participen activamente en estos talleres que estamos seguros serán de mucho beneficio para ellos mismos y para la comunidad de la ABC.
